A gingival graft is an efficient solution proposed where we need to cover the dental roots in areas of receeding gums; it is a treatment option as well as a preventative measure for patients with multiple recession sights. Another indication for this treatment approach is the loss of the gingival attachement around one or more teeth.

Once exposed, the dental roots are more susceptible to cavities or hypersensitivity (to cold/hot) and can really cause a general discomfort. What is more, the teeth appear longer and we notice the creation of interdental gaps; all factors that can really affect the smile esthetics, especially if the relevant teeth are the front ones.

At the CHD we will aim for the best esthetic result in each case, according to your specific needs.
